The snowshoeing is fabulous up here in the spring.  It’s the time of year we pull out our snowshoes and start exploring everywhere! 

As of right now (May 22, 2013), the best snowshoeing is around Tipsoo Lake on Chinook Pass.  We love this area and can spend hours exploring.  We also like to snowshoe the Glacier Basin Trail from the White River Campground in the Sunrise area. 

We rent snowshoes right here at Alta Crystal Resort, for a very nominal $20 plus tax per day, including poles.  Trust us.  Once you try snowshoeing, you’ll understand why it is America’s fastest growing winter sport!
