SUNSET AT SUNTOP
This would also go at the top of our list. Suntop Lookout is an extinct volcano in the national forest, about a 20-minute drive from here up a fairly good gravel road. The road is usually gated about 1 mile from the top, but it’s an easy walk up the road. Once there, you’ll have time to get 360-degree views before the sunset. The sun will actually set towards the Enumclaw plateau, but Mt. Rainier will still get beautiful colors and it’s a wonderful experience. Bring a flash light for your walk back down.
