An Epic Ski Day At Crystal Mountain

Thu Apr 08, 2010

We had our most incredible day EVER yesterday at Crystal Mountain.

And since this is our 13th season up here, that’s saying a lot.

Crystal has gotten 6 FEET of snow since these storms started on March 29, and we were skiing in thigh-deep powder all day yesterday.  You know those great ski photos where the skier’s face is buried in snow?  That was us.  And the skiing just got better and better the more exploring we did.

We started out in Green Valley and had some incredible runs through the trees to the left of the groomed section, and down the left side of Grubstake.  We were having so much fun that we decided to try Left Angle, but on our way there, we saw that the gates to Northway had been opened.  Hallelujah!!!  We got first tracks down Paradise Bowl—incredible!!!  It was so fabulous we took more runs down Paradise Bowl, and then moved on to Bruce’s Bowl, Spook Hill, Northway Bowl and more.  We just couldn’t get enough.  The snow was so light and deep that I even jumped off a couple of cornices—something I won’t usually even think about!

Seriously, folks, you owe it to yourselves to come up before the season ends on April 18.  The snow just doesn’t get any better.  Plus, we have incredible End of Season deals on our specials page.

Don’t let this one pass you by.
