Ask anyone who lives around here, and they’ll tell you Sunrise is their favorite area of Mt. Rainier National Park. It’s the highest point to which you can drive in all the Cascades (6400’)—with awesome panoramic views and great hikes. It is also much more exposed than Paradise, and tends to melt out really quickly once summer arrives.
