Early Summer Savings:  June 1-30, 2016

We love it our here in the June.  You're before the summer crowds -- the perfect antidote to your busy city life -- and you'll often feel like you have the trails and the mountains to yourselves.  When you wake up in the morning, you'll often hear the call of a wood thrush, and when you go to bed at night, you might hear a Great Horned Owl hooting over by our field.  The waterfalls are incredible right now, and it often feels like you hear the sounds of running water everywhere you walk.  We get lots of sunny, warm days and you'll often find that it's sunny out here even when it's cloudy in Seattle.  And, if you happen to hit a cloudy day, we have lots of forest hikes for you to explore with 1000 year old trees, rivers, canyons and more.

There are miles and miles of trails through the national forest to explore -- or head into Mt. Rainier National Park.  The lower elevation trails are snow-free, or you can go up high and visit the snow.  We love the Glacier Basin Trail from the White River Campground right now.  Other favorites include Crystal Lakes, the Grove of the Patriarchs, Silver Falls and the Eastside Trail

Where else can you "visit the snow" in your shorts and then come back to swim in a pool - play field games on the meadow and read a book by a creek?

And there's more.  Explore incredible mountain biking trails.  Go up to Suntop Lookout.  Visit old-growth trees in Federation Forest.  Climb up the Palisades cliffs.  Click here to read about everything you can do right now
