Fall Escape Sale:  September 2 - October 12, 2014

Save up to 25% on your stay this Fall.

We first visited Washington State in September 1989 and we were hooked.  In fact, we moved here a couple of months later and have been here ever since.  Consider yourself forewarned!

There are still lots of warm, clear, sunny days but the nights start to get cooler.  The kids are back in school so the trails are uncrowded (especially during the week).  Crystal’s Mt. Rainier Gondola is open daily through September 21 for scenic rides and Summit House dining, and the Sunrise road should be open through Columbus Day weekend.  (The Sunrise Visitor Center and Day Lodge will be open through September 21 this year.)

As we get closer to October, you can expect gorgeous Fall colors up on Chinook Pass.  (In fact, it’s considered one of the most scenic drives in the state.)  Walk quietly, and you might even hear the bugling of elk.
