Crystal Mountain Skiing and Snowboarding

Crystal Mountain opens for the Winter 2016/17 season on Friday, November 25.  Operations will be limited at first, but with all the snow in the forecast, that could change quickly.  Click here for current plans.

Washington's Largest Ski Area:   We feel so lucky to have Crystal Mountain in our backyard.  Crystal is Washington's largest ski area, with 2600 acres for your skiing/boarding pleasure and over 3000 feet of vertical.

And even though Crystal is close to Seattle and Tacoma, it's much more than just a locals' skiing hill.  Crystal usually ends up on the top 10 lists for ski magazines' lists for best North American terrain, and it deserves the accolades.

There's great beginner terrain from the Discovery, Quicksilver and Forest Queen Express chairs.  Need a little more challenge?  Intermediate skiers will also love the Forest Queen chairlift, as well as many runs from Chinook Express & Rainier Express.

Advanced skiers will be in heaven!  The Northway Chair services advanced backcountry type terrain, and the new Chair 6 (installed in 2014) accesses advanced terrain in Campbell Basin, as well as the South Backcountry.

In all, Crystal offers 9 lifts, a surface tow plus the Mt. Rainier Gondola.  It's a pretty awesome mountain (to say the least).
