Explore on a Bike

Grab a bike and explore. We have rental mountain bikes here, or feel free to bring your own mountain bike or road bike.  Many “Best of Washington” trails are right in this area, and and there are also miles and miles of Forest Service roads to explore!

The Skookum Flats trail is a personal favorite for more advanced riders.  Beginners and intermediates will love the trails behind the Buck Creek air strip (just a couple of miles away) and we also love to explore the old Forest Service cabins by riding miles of gravel roads.

There are also great places for road bikes too. One of our favorite springtime activities is to ride up to Cayuse Pass or Chinook Pass before the roads open sometime in May-- great views and a lot of elevation gain!  We also love to ride from the White River Campground to Sunrise after Memorial Day while we're waiting for the road to the top to open.   It’s a real thigh burner—2000 feet in 10 miles—but the views and solitude are well worth it.  Of course, you can still do any of these rides after roads open, but we just like having them to ourselves.

How about a nice ride down to Greenwater (12 miles each way) for ice cream at Wapiti Woolies; a sandwich from Greenwater Outfitters Deli or a burger and beer at the Naches Bar & Grill.

Mountain bike rental rates (includes required helmet):

  • One Hour $10
  • Up to 3 Hours $20
  • All Day $35

Our bikes are good for beginner to intermediate trails.  There are not currently any full suspension bikes for rent up here, so bring your own, or check with Enumclaw Ski and Mountain Company as they have some full suspension bikes—and they’re nice people to boot!  They also rent road bikes.
